Top studs ready for Zimbabwe’s premier breed sale

Zimbabwe's leading livestock breeders will showcase some of the country's finest genetics at the 58th National Breed Sale at the CC Sales Mt Hampden sales pens on Friday, 31 July, with 136 quality animals set to go under the hammer.
The catalogue features an impressive selection of 74 bulls, including 47 Brahman, 12 Tuli, six Boran, four Beefmaster, two Nkone, and one each of Simbra, Simmental and Angus. Buyers will also have the opportunity to bid on 50 heifers (44 Brahman, three Boran and three Simbra) as well as 12 Dorper sheep (comprising six rams and six ewes).
This year's sale also marks the sixth consecutive year that Nkone cattle have been represented, reflecting the growing recognition and demand for Zimbabwe's indigenous genetics.
With commercial and stud breeders expected from across the country, the National Breed Sale remains one of the premier events on the livestock calendar, offering buyers access to proven, performance-bred animals from some of Zimbabwe's top studs.
Prospective buyers are encouraged to take advantage of pre-sale viewing from Wednesday, 29 July, before bidding gets underway at 10:00 am on Friday, 31 July.
Those unable to attend in person can still participate by registering online and bidding remotely, ensuring they don't miss the opportunity to secure top-quality breeding stock.
